As digital photography progressed, and image quality improved, it seemed as if the cameras wanted to take control of the process. Auto modes for about any type of genre became the norm, and in my opinion, the photographer relied on the camera to make decisions.
As I grew up in the total manual era of photography, I didn’t care for this approach. Rightfully or not, I did everything I could do to back away from digital cameras. So, I went to the extreme and got involved with pinhole.
Because of the limitations of the pinhole camera, there is less control over some aspects of photo creativity. But those limitations open up other avenues of creativity, which can be very challenging.
Take a look around the website and enjoy the content. We will be exploring different cameras, and their results, a bit of the physics involved and composing with pinhole cameras.
